White Wine List:
Riesling – Selbach “Incline” 2011- Mosel, Germany 7/26
Vinified in stainless steel, with just a hint of residual sugar, this wine vividly represents all that Mosel wine should be – fruity with vibrant acidity, clarity and precision; all highlighted by intense slate-driven minerality.
Sauvignon Blanc – Castoro Cellars 2011 – Paso Robles, California 7/26
On the nose there are pronounced aromas of tropical fruit. The mouthfeel is bright, showing lovely acidity with flavors of tart kiwi and grassy, herbal overtones; reminiscent of the warm, sunny climate where these grapes were grown.
Pinot Gris- Villa Wolf 2012 – Pfalz, Germany 8/30
Pinot Gris has a very long tradition in the Pfalz region. In fact, it was here that the variety was first identified. The orchard fruit flavors are dense and lovely. Villa Wolf Pinot Gris is made in a full-bodied, dry style with refreshing, unoaked fruit and crackling texture.
Chardonnay – MAN Vintners 2011, West Cape, South Africa 6/22
South Africa has become a shining beacon of the new direction of winemaking on the world stage and this captivating white is no exception. Displaying a rich, heady nose, this “Queen of Whites” shows surprising acidity balancing out the vibrant fruit profile against the elegant and slightly oaken, vanilla finish.
Red Wine List:
Pinot Noir – Cono Sur “Bicycle” 2011, Cenatral Valley, Chile 7/26
With its moderate climate and long, dry growing seasons, it’s no wonder why Chile has become the fourth largest producer of Pinot NJoir in the world. Bright and youthful cherry fruit plays in the mouth giving way to a soft-as-air finish.
Malbec – Tinto Negro 2011, Mendoza, Argentina 7/26
Without question, Malbec is the shining star of Argentinian winemaking. The landscape empowers this wine with tones of earthy, sweet pipe tobacco mingling with concentrated notes of baked blueberry pie and blackberry preserves.
Shiraz – Bulletin Place 2010, South Eastern Australia 6/22
The “Down Under” precocious twin of the Old World Syrah, this deep, inky wine explodes on the palate with vibrant flavors of forest fruit cascading into a lengthy, spicy finish.
Cabernet Sauvignon – Shannon Ridge 2010, Lake County, California 8/30
Grown on the sun-drenched slopes of Lake County, this”King of Reds” performs beautifully with opulent black fruit and is finely structured. The tannins are round and dense giving way to a commanding lingering departure.
